Coronavirus: 53601 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, 871 deaths

Former President Pranab Mukherjee on ventilator support, brain surgery is done in a military hospital


Pranab Mukherjee, the former President of India, put on ventilator support at the Army Hospital in Delhi late on Monday evening. He was brought here for treatment after a corona infection was confirmed. Mukherjee, 85, underwent brain surgery at the Army's Research and Referral Hospital. This surgery was done to remove the blood clots formed in his brain.

According to sources, Mukherjee's condition is currently critical and he is kept on a ventilator. Earlier, Mukherjee himself tweeted that he had been informed about his coronavirus. He wrote, "Went to the hospital for other reasons, where today the Covid-19 investigation confirmed the infection. I request all those people who came in contact with me last week to isolate themselves and get Corona examined.

The total number of corona positive cases across the country has increased to 22,68,676. Out of which 6,39,929 are active cases, 15,83,490 people have been cured or discharged from hospital and 45,257 people have died so far.

Rahat Indori Found Corona Positive


Noted Urdu poet and life of Mushaira, Rahat Indori has been found to be Corona positive. He himself has given information about this by tweeting. Indori tweeted "My corona test was done yesterday when initial signs of COVID appear and whose report has come positive. I am admitted to Aurobindo Hospital, pray for me that I should beat this disease as soon as possible. There is another request, please don't call me or housemates, you'll get information about my well being on Twitter and Facebook."
