India's Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat has clearly stated that military options are ready to deal with the deadlock of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) in Ladakh but will be used only when negotiations between the two armies And there will be no solution out of the diplomatic option.

As per the news agency ANI, General Rawat told, "The dead end on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is due to different perceptions. The defense services are tasked to monitor such operations and prevent infiltration. A governmental approach is adopted to calmly resolve any such activity and prevent infiltration. Defense services are always ready for military options, no attempt to restore the status quo on LAC should be successful. '

He said, 'Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and all those responsible for national security are reviewing all options with the aim that the PLA wants to restore the status quo in Ladakh. In 2017, when there was a 73-day standoff between India and China, CDS Rawat was taking over as Chief of the Army Staff. He dispelled the notion that there was a lack of coordination between major intelligence agencies.

He added that India has a vast front-line along the Indian Ocean region as also the northern and western borders, and the entire region requires constant monitoring. According to CDS, India is working towards acquiring round-the-clock capabilities to monitor its areas of interest. He told me that everyone is constantly being informed about the situation on the ground in Ladakh or any other area.

On Saturday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh discussed the deadlock with China over LAC in Ladakh with NSA and three army chiefs. China has built up LAC in Ladakh. At the same time, India has also deployed a large number of soldiers and arms to counter it. Through talks between the two armies, there have been talks on the LAC to repel the forces from the deadlocked locations.
