New feature in Arogya Setu, companies will be able to know the condition of the employee

The Arogya Setu mobile app, which monitors corona infections, now includes a new feature that will help companies monitor the health of their employees.

The important thing is that with the help of this feature called 'Open API Service', the data privacy will not be violated in the process of viewing the data of the employees. The Ministry of Electronics and IT informed about this renovation done in Arogya Setu on Saturday.

According to the ministry, the service will help get businesses and the economy back on track while adhering to Corona transition standards. The ministry said that the new service can be availed by any company or organization with more than 50 employees, which is registered in India.

Beneficiaries of this service will be able to see the 'real time' health details of their employees and other health bridge app users. However, for this, they have to get the permission of the person using the Arogya Setu app.

According to the ministry, after getting permission, the company using the 'Open API service' will be able to see the health status and name of the user. As a result, other confidential data of the user will not be likely to be leaked. The ministry said that the new service can be availed by downloading openapi.aarogyasetu.gov.in.

The world's largest contact tracing app

The ministry claims that the number of downloaders of Arogya Setu has now crossed 150 million and it has become the most downloaded contact tracing app in the world.

The app was launched on April 2 and so far 66 lakh Bluetooth contacts have been traced through it. Out of these people after the test, the rate of getting infected has been 27 per cent.

कोरोना संक्रमण की निगरानी करने वाली आरोग्य सेतु मोबाइल एप में अब एक ऐसा नया फीचर शामिल किया गया है, जिसकी मदद से कंपनियों को अपने कर्मचारियों के स्वास्थ्य पर नजर रखने में मदद मिलेगी।

खास बात ये है कि ‘ओपन एपीआई सर्विस’ नाम के इस फीचर की मदद से कर्मचारियों का डाटा देखने की प्रक्रिया में डाटा गोपनीयता भी भंग नहीं होगी। इलेक्ट्रानिक्स व आईटी मंत्रालय ने शनिवार को आरोग्य सेतु में किए गए इस नवीनीकरण की जानकारी दी।

मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, इस सर्विस की मदद से कोरोना संक्रमण के मानकों का पालन करते हुए कारोबार और अर्थव्यवस्था को फिर से पटरी पर लाने में मदद मिलेगी। मंत्रालय ने बताया कि नई सेवा का लाभ 50 से ज्यादा कर्मचारियों वाली कोई भी ऐसी कंपनी या संगठन उठा सकता है, जिसका पंजीकरण भारत में कराया गया हो।

इस सर्विस का लाभ लेने वाले अपने कर्मचारियों और अन्य आरोग्य सेतु एप यूजर्स का ‘रियल टाइम’ स्वास्थ्य ब्यौरा देख पाएंगे। हालांकि इसके लिए उन्हें आरोग्य सेतु एप का उपयोग करने वाले व्यक्ति की अनुमति लेनी होगी।

मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, अनुमति मिलने के बाद ‘ओपन एपीआई सर्विस’ का उपयोग करने वाली कंपनी उस यूजर का आरोग्य सेतु स्टेट्स और नाम ही देख पाएगी। इसके चलते यूजर का अन्य गोपनीय डाटा लीक होने की संभावना नहीं रहेगी। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि नई सर्विस का उपयोग करने के लिए openapi.aarogyasetu.gov.in को डाउनलोड करके इसका लाभ लिया जा सकता है।

दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी कांटेक्ट ट्रेसिंग एप

मंत्रालय का दावा है कि आरोग्य सेतु डाउनलोड करने वालों की संख्या अब 15 करोड़ से ज्यादा हो चुकी है और यह दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा डाउनलोड की जाने वाली कांटेक्ट ट्रेसिंग एप बन गई है।

यह एप 2 अप्रैल को लांच की गई थी और अब तक 66 लाख ब्लूटूथ कांटेक्ट्स इसके जरिये ट्रेस किए जा चुके हैं। टेस्ट के बाद इन लोगों में से संक्रमितों के मिलने की दर 27 फीसदी रही है।
