The name of the Ministry of Human Resource Development will now be the Ministry of Education, approved by the President

President Ramnath Kovind has approved to change the name of the Ministry of Human Resource Development to the Ministry of Education. According to the notification issued on Monday night, the name has been changed under some important changes in the draft of the new education policy after the approval of the cabinet last month. The new education policy will take effect from next year. The Ministry of Education was renamed HRD Ministry in 1985 during the tenure of Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. PV Narasimha Rao was the first HRD minister.

Let it be known that the Union Cabinet had approved the new education policy on July 29. At the same time, it was decided to change the name of the Ministry of Human Resource Development to the Ministry of Education. The committee headed by K Kasturirangan had submitted the draft of the new education policy to the Ministry of Human Resource Development last year. Many important changes have been made in the new education policy from school education to higher education. The ministry had asked the people to give their suggestions on the draft. More than two lakh suggestions were received on this draft.

After 34 years, major changes have been made in the country from school education to higher education. The Prime Minister also praised the new policy in his address.

राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय का नाम बदलकर शिक्षा मंत्रालय रखे जाने को मंजूरी दे दी है। सोमवार रात जारी अधिसूचना के मुताबिक, पिछले महीने कैबिनेट की मंजूरी के बाद नई शिक्षा नीति के मसौदे में कुछ अहम बदलाव के तहत यह नाम बदला गया है। नई शिक्षा नीति अगले साल से प्रभावी हो जाएगी। प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी के कार्यकाल के दौरान 1985 में शिक्षा मंत्रालय का नाम एचआरडी मंत्रालय किया गया था। पीवी नरसिंह राव पहले एचआरडी मंत्री बने थे।

बता दें कि केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने 29 जुलाई को नई शिक्षा नीति को मंजूरी दी थी। साथ ही मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय का नाम बदलकर शिक्षा मंत्रालय करने का निर्णय लिया था। के कस्तूरीरंगन की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति ने पिछले साल मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय को नई शिक्षा नीति का मसौदा सौंपा था। नई शिक्षा नीति में स्कूली शिक्षा से लेकर उच्च शिक्षा तक कई अहम बदलाव किए गए हैं।। मंत्रालय ने इस मसौदे पर लोगों को अपना सुझाव देने के लिए कहा था। इस मसौदे पर दो लाख से अधिक सुझाव मिले थे।  

 34 साल बाद देश में स्कूली शिक्षा से लेकर उच्च शिक्षा में बड़े बदलाव किए गए हैं। प्रधानमंत्री ने भी अपने संबोधन में इस नई नीति की तारीफ की थी।
